The Senior Data/Market Analyst role is essential within their Commodity Markets division, leading efforts to model and analyze gas and LNG price formations. This position supports both tactical and strategic decision-making through in-depth data analysis.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Conduct technical research on energy commodity fundamentals and gas and LNG price formations.
• Focus on short-term gas and LNG supply, demand, trade flows, shipping, weather, and price forecasting.
• Gather, classify, and analyze information from multiple sources using statistical and economic analysis.
• Produce quantitative and qualitative research reports offering strategic market insights.
• Communicate research results internally and support external client needs.
• Translate client strategies into actionable goals and support sales and business development.
• Lead the modeling team within the Gas and LNG market research team.

This role requires you to have:

• Strong academic background in fields like mathematics, physics, economics, or engineering.
• Experience or strong interest in developing numerical models or algorithms.
• Proficiency with databases such as SQL.
• Experience with programming, ideally in Python, MATLAB, or R.
• Skills in statistical analytics including regression, smoothing, and trend analysis.
