In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Oversee the operational integrity, security, performance, and reliability of Everbridge's data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design reliable data solutions.
• Develop and improve automated tools for data-tier operability and self-service.
• Apply Database Reliability Engineering principles to advance technology and culture.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to address production issues.

This role requires you to have:

• 3+ years in database performance and site reliability, database administration, dev-ops, or SaaS Technical Operations.
• Experience with Terraform, Salt, MongoDB, and CI tools like Jenkins or Gitlab.
• 3+ years of cloud infrastructure experience, preferably with AWS.
• 1+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Perl, Java, or Go.

You would benefit from having:

• Experience with AWS RDS.
• Proficiency in DBMS performance tuning and scaling.
• Familiarity with database health monitoring and diagnostics.
• Experience in relational schema design and data modeling.
• Knowledge of NoSQL schema design for document-oriented databases.
