The New Zealand Government is seeking an Analyst, Data & Insights to provide and analyze data for improved business decision-making. This role will be a part of the Ministry for Pacific Peoples (MPP), focusing on data processes optimization, analytical reporting, and storytelling to present MPP's narratives. The position is based in Wellington and offers a full-time, permanent opportunity.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Provide and analyze varied information to enhance decision-making.
- Utilize analytical and reporting tools.
- Optimize data processes.
- Use storytelling to vividly present narratives.

This role requires you to have:
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in data analytics, research, evidence-based decision making, or insights generation.
- Experience in supporting the development and implementation of data management processes.
- Proficiency with digital tools for creating visual data stories.
- Ability to build productive relationships with team members and support staff across the Ministry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills adaptable to different contexts.
- Sound judgment.
- Awareness or understanding of government mechanisms.
