The New Zealand Government's Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment (MBIE) is seeking a Data Engineer to support their Joint Targeting and Analytics team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the immigration risk management framework. Working within a dynamic and purpose-driven environment, the Data Engineer will collaborate with experts to optimize analytics platforms and maintain data integrity.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Maintain and optimize the JTA risk analytics environment.
• Manage and incorporate new data into the risk analytics environment.
• Engage with MBIE's Central Data team for continuous improvement in data management and governance.
• Effectively manage workload aligning with strategy and plans, escalating issues as necessary.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics solutions.
