The Senior Data Engineer role exists to support a significant data transformation journey, involving the development of data products in line with Data Mesh concepts.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for building and optimizing data products aligned with the target vision.
  • Champion DevOps principles, managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform.
  • Ensure data products are deployed as independent units and adhere to standards for security, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product managers to align on data products' vision and support new product development.
  • Work with cross-domain product teams on data mesh initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement and reduce technical debt within teams.
  • Maintain expertise in the latest data, analytics, and cloud technologies.

This role requires you to have:

  • Passion for data, technology, and collaboration.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer on GCP or modern cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies and infrastructure, especially GCP tools like Dataflow, Dataproc, and BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of data formats such as Parquet and Avro.
  • Experience with data query languages like SQL.
  • Data-centric programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Understanding of data modeling techniques and NoSQL/RDBMS databases.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

The position is located in Stockholm, Sweden, and requires candidates to reside in Sweden. Employment is full-time with a probation period of six months.
