Senior Data Engineer

Berlin Information Technology AB is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their team. This role is essential to integrate agile methodologies and contribute to the development of stable data processing pipelines. The successful candidate will work on the Google Cloud Platform to improve data processes and analysis capabilities.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Participate in an agile scrum team and employ agile development methods.
• Contribute to a DevOps environment for test-driven development on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop complex SQL queries for ETL processes to support reporting and analytics.
• Create design specifications and implement data models and schemas in response to evolving business needs.
• Establish data quality monitoring and implement validation checks and quality dashboards.

This role requires you to have:

• Broad knowledge of SQL for data processing and analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Go, Python, or Scala, with an understanding of both functional and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with tools for processing large datasets such as Apache Spark, Beam, Kafka.
