Swedium Global is seeking a Data Engineer to work on-site in Stockholm, focusing on developing, optimizing, and supporting data products for a key customer. The role involves managing cloud infrastructure, particularly on Google Cloud Platform, and collaborating with various stakeholders to align data products with customer expectations.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize existing and new data products.
- Champion DevOps principles and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure data products meet security and performance standards.
- Collaborate on data product vision and stakeholder needs.
- Engage with product teams regarding data mesh concepts.
- Drive improvements and reduce technical debt.
- Stay updated on latest data and cloud technologies.

This role requires you to have:
- 4+ years experience in cloud data platforms or software engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL or similar query languages.
- Experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
- Understanding of data modelling and NoSQL/RDBMS databases.
- Expertise in data visualization tools.
- Strong communication skills in English.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with GCP tools like Dataflow, Dataproc, and Bigquery.
- Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Beam, Spark, or Hive.
