This role is integral to developing infrastructure and tools to enhance Addgene's data environment. Collaborating within a small data science team, the Data Engineer will tackle complex analyses and drive innovation. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to decision-making processes and the scientific mission of the organization.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and bioinformatics workflows
• Collaborate with team members using Agile methodologies
• Prepare data reports, summaries, and visualizations
• Enhance data analytics environment
• Ensure well-engineered software through best practices
• Generate complex datasets and dashboards
• Independently manage tasks and engage in process improvements

This role requires you to have:

• Master’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Python and data science libraries
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with data pipelines and ETL architectures
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
