Cloud Lake Technology, part of Akima, is renowned for supporting federal projects while also bolstering shareholder communities in Alaska. The Data Analyst role exists to facilitate a critical data migration effort to Azure Cloud, working alongside data engineers and other stakeholders to optimize data workflows and reporting.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to document data requirements
  • Perform data analysis on existing SQL Server datasets for migration
  • Utilize Python for ETL tasks and data automation
  • Work with development teams on data transformation
  • Identify and address data quality issues
  • Design and execute data validation tests
  • Develop scripts and automated tests for data verification
  • Standardize reporting formats and KPI definitions
  • Build and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Coordinate external data integration using Azure tools
  • Participate in troubleshooting sessions for data issues
  • Assist in defining data governance policies
  • Create documentation for data processes and models

This role requires you to have:

  • US citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and engineering
  • Experience with large database migrations to cloud platforms
  • Proficiency in Python and Power BI
  • Knowledge of Azure SQL and Databricks
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and schema design
  • Problem-solving skills
