The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Data Scientist to enrich AI-powered search functionalities, leveraging a vast repository of historical data. Situated at Kirtland Air Force Base, the role involves working directly with a dedicated team aiming to provide insightful data solutions for government missions.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy AI and ML solutions for data retrieval and processing.
- Implement technologies like semantic search and interactive chatbots using LLMs.
- Collaborate on computer vision and OCR technologies to enhance data enrichment.
- Utilize containerization, microservices, and DevOps for application scalability.
- Develop data models with graph-based methodologies supporting AI/ML functions.
- Support AI/ML integrations on government systems, adhering to cybersecurity protocols.
- Contribute to AI/ML strategy discussions and create product documentation.

This role requires you to have:
- At least five years in AI/ML or data science product development
- Strong programming proficiency in Python
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar libraries
- NLP and computer vision model training and deployment
You would benefit from having:
- Knowledge of version control with Git
- Experience with DevSecOps/MLOps and tools like GitLab, MLFlow
- Containerization skills with Docker or Podman
- Experience with NoSQL and ETL, especially ElasticSearch and neo4j
- Strong communication skills
