Alex Lee, Inc. is seeking an Analytics Engineer to play a vital role in managing data ingestion and transformation for business intelligence. This position is crucial for optimizing Azure-based data pipelines and enhancing data models within the Microsoft ecosystem. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to empower decision-making through robust data governance and quality assurance.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Implement data workflows with SQL, Python, and Azure Data Factory.
• Integrate data from various retail sources and third-party vendors.
• Develop scalable data models for analytics in retail operations.
• Optimize data models in Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL Server.
• Ensure data models support efficient querying and Power BI integration.
• Collaborate with business teams to align data structures with analytical needs.
• Implement data validation and transformation to ensure accuracy.
• Work with data governance teams to enforce compliance and security.
• Conduct root cause analysis on data issues.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years experience in data analytics or engineering.
• Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL within Microsoft ecosystem.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and T-SQL.
• Experience with grocery or retail data.
