Amazon Lab126, an innovative arm of Amazon, is looking for a dedicated Language Data Scientist to work within the Alexa International Tech team. This role involves leveraging cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal systems to enhance Alexa's capabilities. The team is collaborative, including scientists, engineers, and product managers, all working together to refine data processes and improve customer interactions.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Scientists and Software Engineers to design APIs and evaluate LLM performance.
• Produce and manipulate various types of language data to analyze and deliver efficient solutions.
• Design and lead data collection projects, define scope, and provide training to ensure quality.
• Engineer prompts for generative AI to produce contextual outputs.
• Automate processes and conduct data analysis using Python or other scripting languages.
• Advocate strict adherence to annotation guidelines.
• Test and deploy changes to Alexa's language understanding codebase.
• Identify and resolve production issues affecting the Alexa customer experience.
• Collaborate with linguists, scientists, and designers to improve customer interactions.
• Manage machine learning and deterministic models for specific feature domains.
