ArundelStat Performance and Data Analyst

Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works is hiring a full-time ArundelStat Performance and Data Analyst. The role is based in the Office of the County Executive, reporting to the Director of ArundelStat. The analyst will focus on research, data collection, performance improvement, and collaboration on the open data initiative.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor performance metrics aligned with County goals
• Create data visualizations and end-user reports
• Manage ongoing performance tasks and update tracking sheets and visualizations
• Collaborate with County agencies to leverage data for operational improvement
• Organize and lead performance improvement meetings
• Compile, process, and analyze administrative and public source data
• Support multiple projects with the ArundelStat team

This role requires you to have:

• Four-year degree in relevant fields
• Minimum two years of professional experience in data analysis and program evaluation
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-agency collaboration
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences
• Fluency in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite

You would benefit from having:

• Proficient in data analysis
• Understanding of GIS mapping software such as ESRI
• Knowledge of statistical software like R, STATA, or SPSS
• Experience with databases, APIs, and programming languages like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Perl, and PHP
• Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Quicksight, Tableau, or ESRI
