In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design, manage, and maintain medium to complex company databases.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Evaluate and enhance database configuration for performance and scalability.
- Implement ETL processes and integrate data from multiple sources into cloud or on-premise environments.
- Ensure database reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Automate database performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Implement advanced database security measures and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Develop and enforce data modeling techniques for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Document database structures, dataflows, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to align database architecture with business needs.
- Mentor junior engineers in best practices for database management.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in SQL and advanced database management.
- Experience in cloud database architecture (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Proficiency in Python, Java, and Scala.
- 5+ years in database engineering, data pipelines, and cloud data services.
You would benefit from having:
- Certifications in AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
- Knowledge of containerized and distributed database environments.
