In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design, manage, and maintain medium to complex company databases.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Evaluate and enhance database configuration for performance and scalability.
• Implement ETL processes and integrate data from multiple sources into cloud or on-premise environments.
• Ensure database reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Automate database performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Implement advanced database security measures and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Develop and enforce data modeling techniques for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Document database structures, dataflows, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to align database architecture with business needs.
• Mentor junior engineers in best practices for database management.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in SQL and advanced database management.
• Experience in cloud database architecture (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and Scala.
• 5+ years in database engineering, data pipelines, and cloud data services.

You would benefit from having:

• Certifications in AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
