The Autonomy Data Engineer role exists to enhance the autonomy capabilities of aircraft systems, contributing to Applied Intuition's mission with data-driven insights.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Collect and manage autonomy data from test events involving aircraft.
- Develop and maintain data storage solutions ensuring data integrity.
- Perform data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure quality analysis.
- Analyze flight data for trends and performance metrics using statistical methods.
- Collaborate with developers to implement data-driven improvements.
- Prepare reports summarizing test findings and create visual data representations.
- Assist in planning and executing flight tests for data collection.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain documentation.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience with DoD autonomous systems for aircraft
- Proficiency in Python
- Proficiency in data visualization
- Proficiency with Pandas
You would benefit from having:
- Master's degree in Data Storage
- 6+ years of DoD experience
- Experience in national security projects
Applicants must be U.S. citizens eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance. Travel required for up to one week every other month.
