The company’s Digital Platform and Innovation group is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their mission-driven team. This role supports the development of data-driven solutions that align with Baxter's commitment to enhancing healthcare outcomes.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement predictive modeling algorithms to address customer and business problems.
  • Conduct research on AI advancements for integration into products and services.
  • Formulate problem statements for diverse business challenges.
  • Write Spark & Python code in Databricks for data retrieval and insights.
  • Prepare data for model training and optimize models for performance.
  • Deploy models in production and oversee performance.
  • Explore and experiment with generative AI models.
  • Handle datasets of various sizes and complexities.
  • Implement model scoring to drive actions.
  • Create visualizations of analysis output for users.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for current predictive models.
  • Collaborate with technology stakeholders to envision a data-driven enterprise.

This role requires you to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or a related quantitative field.
  • Over 4 years of experience with data science model development.
  • Experience as a full stack developer with C# or .NET.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience in healthcare data and HIPAA-regulated environments.
  • Proficiency in Spark, Scala, Python, and Databricks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and large datasets.
  • Skill in developing data visualization technologies (Power BI, Tableau).
