Senior Analyst, Data & Transportion

Big Lots is in search of a Senior Analyst, Data & Transportation to spearhead innovation within their supply chain operations. The role is integral in driving cost reductions and efficiency improvements using systems like Alteryx and Cognos SCI. The team works collaboratively across departments and with external partners to refine processes and generate insights.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Leverage Alteryx, Cognos SCI, and other systems to enhance supply chain operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create scorecards for monitoring costs and performance.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives to boost supply chain visibility.
• Prepare agendas, gather information, and lead meetings to establish action plans.
• Conduct data validation and systems integration analysis.
• Coach team members to enhance analytical skills.
• Establish best practices for data architecture.
• Offer regular insights for logistics and management.
• Execute ad hoc analyses for senior leadership.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Recommend process improvements and standardizations.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years in Transportation, Financial, or Analytics roles
• 2+ years using Alteryx, Cognos SCI or similar tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational and presentation skills

You would benefit from having:

• Experience with MicroStrategy and Manhattan WMS/TMS
• Understanding of database logic and query-building
