This Data Engineer position exists to support data integration efforts, primarily using an ETL platform, in accordance with IC ITE initiatives. Located in Annapolis Junction, MD, the role requires daily on-site work alongside a team of developers.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers to address data integration needs through ETL code maintenance.
• Transform data in alignment with ICC ITE project initiatives.
• Utilize HTML and SFTP protocols to gather and process data with external teams.
• Advance the ETL platform with new features for future integration improvements.
• Develop and sustain software for a fully operational system.
• Validate data ingest processes and produce detailed documentation on system architecture and enhancements.

This role requires you to have:

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance
• 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years with a Master's
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages
• Strong communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Initiative and eagerness to learn new skills

You would benefit from having:

• Expertise in data ingestion, transformation, and modeling
• Experience with Ruby, Java, or Python
• One year experience with RESTful web services
• Proficiency in code development, deployment, and versioning
• Experience with AWS services like EC2, RDS, S3, and VPC
• XML data format experience, including XSLT and X path processing
• Team leadership experience
