Binghamton University is looking for a talented Data Analyst within the Enrollment Management team. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Enrollment Analysis, the Data Analyst will work closely with staff across the university. This hybrid role will adhere to SUNY policies for remote and on-campus work arrangements.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Build queries to extract, clean, reshape, and integrate data from various sources
• Create automated and ad-hoc reports and visualizations
• Design and build interactive dashboards
• Conduct statistical analyses to guide operational strategies
• Construct and administer survey instruments and analyze output
• Develop replicable code-based processes
• Diagnose and troubleshoot data inconsistencies and errors

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, computer science, mathematics, or a related field with a focus on statistical analysis and data management
• Understanding of relational databases and tidy data principles
• Proficiency in writing scripts for querying, transforming, and analyzing data using SQL, R, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with data visualizations tools like Tableau, Microsoft BI, or SAS Visual Analytics
• Knowledge of statistical research methods
• Ability to extract data via API
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication of complex data to non-technical audiences
