Junior Data Scientist

BISON Group, involved in national security initiatives, is looking for a Junior Data Scientist. This role contributes to making GEOINT data more accessible and useful for analysts and users while adopting leading industry practices like AWS cloud solutions.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data engineers, database developers, and visualization specialists to analyze large structured data sets for anomalies and correlations.
• Conduct deep dive analyses on data sets to identify issues or anomalies.
• Develop and utilize complex concepts and processes across multiple organizations and disciplines.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts to increase data quality and delivery speed.
• Operate within an Agile development team, contributing to Scrum-based methodologies.
• Work closely with the software engineering team to deploy models for forecasts, optimizations, and insights.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience with imagery data as a data scientist.
• Proficiency in coding with Python, R, Scala, JavaScript, C++ with thorough documentation.
• Strong knowledge in visual programming or object-oriented modeling workflows.
• Ability to manipulate data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Analytical methodologies expertise to diagnose and solve data-related challenges.
• Experience with data analytics, engineering, mining, exploratory analysis, and predictive analysis.
• Skill in categorizing data and metadata to build application profiles.
