Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Science Analyst I within their Analytics Center of Excellence (ACoE). As part of a team at the forefront of analytics, this role exists to address complex business challenges through data discovery, analysis, and advanced analytics solutions. The team collaborates to optimize business objectives and enhance advanced analytics assets.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Conduct data querying, processing, and manipulation using advanced data processing and analytics software.
• Identify data patterns and generate insights through data mining techniques.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of advanced analytics, including machine learning and model building.
• Create statistical analyses and data visualizations, conveying insights to technical leads and stakeholders.
• Engage in training for skill enhancement and share knowledge with the Data Science team.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Experience with programming in at least one language
• Basic knowledge in data mining and visualization
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms
• Proficiency in statistical and machine learning model evaluations
• Foundational knowledge in mathematics and algorithm design
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
