The CDC Foundation collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance surveillance, prevention, and response efforts. They are looking for a Data Analyst to contribute to the analysis of overdose surveillance data, supporting the Overdose Data to Action program in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Execute full lifecycle data analytics activities, including cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
• Monitor and improve performance and quality control work plans.
• Conduct statistical analyses using SAS, R, Python, and SQL.
• Generate reports to monitor and evaluate HIV/HCV prevention efforts.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners for data analysis support.
• Communicate technical information to diverse audiences.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Public Health, or related field.
• At least one year of experience in data cleaning, data management, and statistical analysis.
• Proficient in using SQL for data queries and statistical software such as R, Python, or SAS.
• Ability to conduct various types of data analysis, including predictive and prescriptive.
• Strong communication skills.

You would benefit from having:

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with geospatial data and tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, or GeoDa.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for report creation.
