Chord Energy, located in downtown Houston, is seeking a Data Engineer to enhance their team. The role calls for a candidate with a robust foundation in data engineering, tasked with building data analytics solutions using tools such as Microsoft Azure Data Factory and Databricks. The position is part of the IT department, offering a hybrid work schedule with remote opportunities on select days.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Ensure data pipelines are reliable, efficient, and scalable.
• Collaborate with data analysts to understand and meet data requirements.
• Transform and structure data for business analytics needs.
• Build and maintain analytics data models using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Document data architecture and processes for knowledge sharing.
• Prepare reports on data pipeline performance.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in computer science or equivalent field.
• 2+ years of data engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Services, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with data pipeline tools like Airbyte, Fivetran, DBT, and Databricks.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
