The company is seeking a Sr Data Analyst to serve as a crucial intermediary between its Major Accounts Underwriting and Data & Analytics teams, helping to translate business needs into actionable insights that drive key initiatives.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Facilitate alignment between underwriting and data teams to ensure business goals are met.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Adapt analytics solutions to support specific underwriting and pricing needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data analysis with business objectives.
• Manage underwriting requests and oversee project statuses.
• Bridge business requirements with IT implementations in planning stages.
• Ensure data insights are effectively implemented in operations.
• Communicate business and technical details to IT and stakeholders.
• Support dynamic solutions to adapt to evolving business needs.
• Query, analyze, and interpret data to inform decisions and guide strategies.
• Work closely with underwriters to translate their requirements to the appropriate teams.
• Organize and preprocess data from various sources for accurate analysis.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to reveal trends and patterns.
• Perform statistical analyses and develop predictive models.
• Utilize data mining techniques for additional insights.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decisions.
• Present analytical findings to management and relevant parties.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or similar field.
• Experience in the insurance industry with knowledge of underwriting.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Capability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Understanding of insurance industry practices.
