Citi is looking for a Big Data Engineer who will integrate deep data engineering and AI expertise to create high-impact solutions. The role focuses on leveraging traditional machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI to enhance analytical processes and enterprise applications. The successful candidate will work across business lines, influencing risk strategies and operational efficiency.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Integrate Generative AI and large language model strategies within analytics workflows.
• Collaborate to define scalable pipelines utilizing Hadoop, PySpark, and Snowflake.
• Conduct data ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering on large datasets.
• Leverage vector databases for semantic search and similarity-based analytics.
• Build and manage model pipelines for analytic and decision engines.
• Advise business units on AI use-cases and ML opportunities.
• Ensure deployment by collaborating with MLOps and DataOps teams.
• Contribute to data governance frameworks ensuring compliance.

This role requires you to have:

• Minimum of 6 years in analytics, data science, or engineering.
• 4 years of machine learning experience with Python and PySpark.
• Expertise in Hadoop ecosystem and distributed processing.
• Experience with Snowflake architecture and workflows.
• Strong grasp of data lineage and governance in regulated settings.
