The City of Chicago's Department of Family and Support Services is in search of a Senior Database Analyst. This role is crucial for managing and advancing the department's integrated database systems, ensuring compatibility with new technologies. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Review designs of new database systems to ensure efficiency and data integrity.
- Assist in evaluating vendor database activities for compliance with standards.
- Design and maintain database structures to support automated systems and remote access.
- Monitor and optimize existing database systems for disk space utilization.
- Resolve operational issues between databases and operating systems.
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and security measures.
- Document database techniques and standards.
- Perform database administration functions and train junior staff.
- Design, code, test, and document computer programs.
- Maintain security and updating procedures for the Data Dictionary.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, IT/Systems or a related field.
- Experience in maintaining and designing integrated database systems.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with SQL server, HTML, and basic coding languages.
- Project management and business requirements development skills.
- Experience developing data models and analyzing data for performance.
- Experience working with data warehouses and data lakes using Microsoft Azure.
- Microsoft Azure certification in Data Bricks, Data Factory, SQL server, Power BI.
- Experience in Salesforce systems administration and report writing.
