The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in the City of Detroit's efforts to enhance its Civil Rights, Inclusion, and Opportunity Department's programs. Working under the Policy Director, this role focuses on data management and visualization to improve program reporting and quality management. The team aims to streamline data processes and evaluate the department's performance.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Ensure data is accurate, complete, and timely.
- Maintain and develop departmental data collection and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to assess data needs.
- Analyze and visualize data impacts for departmental work and policy.
- Maintain data for program performance tracking and fact sheet development.
- Support data quality management and improvement projects.
- Provide technical support and training to staff.
- Recommend best practices for data management.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Quality Management or equivalent experience.
- Experience with geocoding, joining feature layers, and ArcGIS.
- Ability to explain data-policy connections to diverse audiences.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with Tableau and collaborative data tools like Smartsheet.

The evaluation plan includes a total of 100% based on an interview (70%) and evaluation of training, experience, and personal qualifications (30%).
