Cloud Data Engineer

The City of Tucson's Information Technology Department is recruiting a Cloud Data Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based systems. This vital role ensures seamless, scalable, and reliable cloud performance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the engineer will enhance data models and system architecture, supporting the organization's evolving technological needs.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure cloud-based data lakes using AWS and Snowflake.
• Lead system enhancements and cloud migration projects.
• Optimize ETL/ELT processes for improved data integration.
• Act as escalation point for performance and data integration issues.
• Monitor and maintain data systems to ensure availability and performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for stakeholders.
