Columbia University is actively seeking a Data Analyst for the Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health. The position involves contributing to a significant NIH-funded research project on community-level exposure to incarceration and its effects on substance use treatment. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Conduct data cleaning, coding, linkages, and quality checks.
  • Analyze and interpret data related to incarceration and substance use from multiple data sources.
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed manuscripts, presentations, and proposals.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

This role requires you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in using R for data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Work experience in psychiatric or substance use epidemiology
  • Record of peer-reviewed publications
