The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Comm is looking for a skilled Epidemiologist & Data Analyst. The role is crucial in directing assessments and data initiatives for the Tribal Health Improvement Plans. This position will provide expert consultation within the Health and Wellness departments, contributing significantly to community health programs by producing detailed reports using advanced statistical software.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Conduct disease surveillance and quality assurance audits.
  • Research community health needs and recommend program changes.
  • Lead projects, define objectives, and organize resources.
  • Train staff in epidemiologic methods and investigative techniques.
  • Promote teamwork among staff and with other tribal departments.
  • Prepare public health information and community data interpretation.
  • Conduct epidemiologic studies and outbreak investigations.
  • Participate in community and internal meetings to support data analysis.
  • Execute a variety of duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This role requires you to have:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on epidemiology or biostatistics.
  • Minimum one year experience in applied epidemiology.
  • Knowledge of social determinants of health and health equity.
  • Proficiency in statistical software like SAS or SPSS.

You would benefit from having:

  • Understanding of Federal, State, and local disease control statutes.
  • Experience with geospatial mapping systems such as ArcGIS.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Skill in public health emergency response.

Candidates will undergo criminal and character background checks. The role may require specific health vaccinations and occasional local travel.
