Consumers Energy, a prominent American energy company based in Jackson, Michigan, is offering a contract role for a Data Analyst I. The selected candidate will join the fast-paced Sales Strategy & Performance team within Sales Operations, aiming to support the sales team in achieving clean energy targets. The team focuses on performance management, target setting, forecasting, and process improvements.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Shape the company's future by working with clean energy products like demand response and renewable energy.
• Collaborate with various internal departments including product, marketing, and sales.
• Build models and reports to analyze sales data, including sales pipeline analysis.
• Manage datasets within Microsoft CRM and SQL environments.
• Support the sales team in resolving technical issues and collaborate with IT on data enhancements.
• Provide analytics for sales segments.
• Maintain regular reporting and presentations.
• Execute sales strategies and manage compensation workflows.
• Complete additional business tasks as needed.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience with modeling or business/financial reporting using relational databases like SQL Server or SAP HANA.
• Proficiency with MS Power BI or similar visual management tools.
• Competence in using MS Office suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
