Senior Data Scientist- Application Developer

Cox Communications, America's largest private telecom company, seeks a Senior Data Scientist-Application Developer for their Network Analytics Reliability Enablement Team (NARE). This role is pivotal in creating analytics application architecture and development for the Service Health platform. The successful candidate will blend data science modeling with application development, enhancing scalable infrastructure and integrating models across the organization.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Architect and document key service and data architecture for new use cases.
• Review and improve existing services for scalability and complexity.
• Design analytical solutions with focus on observability, reusability, and scalability.
• Develop industry-leading analytics applications in AWS.
• Implement unit, end-to-end, and A/B testing strategies.
• Build advanced data models for signal data interpretation.
• Troubleshoot and support deployed products.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Python, Java, or an object-oriented language.
• 2+ years of AWS experience in a software engineering or data science role.
• 2 years of experience with NoSQL databases such as Document DB, Mongo, or Cassandra.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics.
• Experience with DevOps practices like Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• 1+ years experience deploying data science models in production.
