Datavail is looking for a seasoned Data Engineer to join their team. This role is essential for designing and implementing robust data platforms and pipelines. The successful candidate will be an expert in Databricks engineering services and will work alongside a dynamic team dedicated to leveraging data to drive insightful business decisions.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Implement large-scale data and analytics platforms.
- Build data platforms using Azure or AWS.
- Engineer data platforms on Databricks from inception.
- Utilize Azure Synapse for data pipelines.
- Apply Microsoft Fabric in project execution.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of Databricks services such as Unity Catalog and Spark Jobs.
- Handle Databricks SQL and PySpark efficiently.
- Propose best practices in data modeling and transformations.
- Develop technical designs for data ingestion and monitoring frameworks.
- Deploy applications to advanced environments using CI-CD.
- Craft technical user stories.
- Participate in Agile methodologies and scrums.
