The Department of Public Works' Office of Strategic Management & Enablement focuses on performance management planning and performance analysis. The team is dedicated to maintaining a strategic management framework through comprehensive planning and analysis. The Data Scientist role exists to support these initiatives by collaborating with the Office of Information & Technology Services to develop agency-wide data strategies.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop computational algorithms and statistical methods to discover patterns in diverse database sources.
• Create scripts, queries, or software code tailored to specific requirements.
• Design and test data models, algorithms, and predictive models.
• Utilize predictive modeling and machine learning to enhance program and operational processes.
• Compile and analyze data from multiple sources for strategic initiatives leading to informed recommendations.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or data science.
