Digital Plus Solutions is expanding its data engineering team and is on the lookout for a dedicated Data Engineer. This role is essential for evolving the company's data capabilities, focusing on database query optimization and leveraging data visualization tools. The team is driven to ensure high performance and reliability in data handling.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Optimize and troubleshoot Google Big Query performance.
• Transform existing DB2 queries for Google Big Query compatibility.
• Extract data from MS SQL for use in Big Query.
• Utilize Python for coding within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Work with data transformation tools like Data Proc in GCP.
• Manage source code with Azure DevOps and oversee build pipeline deployments.
• Develop and troubleshoot Tableau connections with Google Big Query.

This role requires you to have:

• Expertise in Google Big Query and knowledge of all its components.
• Python coding skills within GCP.
• Experience with Tableau Desktop and Prep.

You would benefit from having:

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with other BI tools such as PowerBI, MS Access, and Cognos.
