Education Analytics is a national non-profit based in Madison, WI, focused on using data and analytics to improve educational equity and student outcomes. Rooted in values of collaboration and innovation, the organization partners with various educational bodies to drive impactful change through data insights. They are looking to expand their team with a Data/Analytics Engineer to support their mission-driven goals.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of data warehousing structures for analytics and reporting.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to develop ELT data pipelines.
  • Implement code testing and deployment strategies to ensure system reliability.
  • Organize data using data modeling techniques.
  • Design complex pipelines to integrate various data sources.
  • Develop and enhance internal tools for team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and educational leaders to create scalable analytics solutions.
  • Apply new tools for innovation across projects.
  • Identify and resolve data quality and processing issues.

This role requires you to have:

  • Experience architecting data warehouse and data lake structures.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data warehouse design.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices with Git.
  • Experience with ELT pipelines.
  • Fluency in SQL.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with Linux.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience with cloud-based columnar data warehouses such as Snowflake, RedShift, or BigQuery.
  • Experience with Data Build Tool (dbt).
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or similar systems.

The role requires an average of 45 working hours per week, sometimes including nights and weekends. While the position is based in Madison, WI, remote work arrangements are possible for the right candidate. Education Analytics fosters a diverse workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
