Emfoi is a dynamic company looking to expand its engineering team with a Data Engineer role. This position requires the candidate to work on data pipelines and event streaming applications, leveraging their 2+ years of experience. The team is dedicated to optimizing data operations and enhancing high-performance data structures.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and maintain data schema life-cycles.
• Work with structured and unstructured data operations.
• Implement and maintain high performance/high availability data structures.
• Operate within cloud-based ecosystems.
• Lead projects and mentor team members.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres and Cassandra.
• Strong understanding of in-memory processing and data formats like Avro, Parquet, JSON.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services including EC2, MSK, S3, RDS, SNS, SQS.
• Familiarity with stream-processing systems like Storm, Spark-Structured-Streaming, Kafka consumers.
• Proficient in languages like Python, Java, Scala, R, SQL.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as AWS Data Pipeline, Apache Airflow, Argo.
• Knowledge of big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka.
