In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data solutions using Apache Spark and Databricks.
• Gather and analyze data requirements to identify data-driven opportunities.
• Build and optimize data ingestion and processing pipelines with Spark and Databricks.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the data lifecycle.
• Collaborate with teams to design data models, schemas, and storage solutions.
• Optimize data processing and analytics performance using Spark and Databricks.
• Provide guidance and expertise to junior engineers and developers.
• Stay updated on trends in cloud computing, big data, and data engineering.
• Contribute to improving data engineering processes and best practices.

This role requires you to have:

• Cloud platform expertise (Azure or AWS).
• Proficiency in Apache Spark and Databricks.
• SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Data integration and ETL processes using tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Data modeling and schema design knowledge.
• Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
