Enerplus is inviting a Junior Data Engineer to join their Houston team, where they will contribute to data engineering and analytics initiatives. The role is designed for individuals eager to expand their expertise in data pipelines and analytics solutions, leveraging platforms such as Microsoft Azure Data Factory and Databricks. The team collaborates closely within the IT Department, reporting to the Data Solutions Manager.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain ETL processes using tools like Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Ensure reliability and efficiency of data pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Collaborate with analysts to meet data requirements and implement solutions.
• Clean, transform, and structure data to support analytics.
• Build and maintain analytics data models using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to match data solutions with business needs.
• Document architecture, processes, and pipelines for knowledge sharing.
• Prepare reports on pipeline performance and usage.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in computer science, data engineering, or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in data engineering.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Services and Fabric.
• Basic proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with tools like Airbyte, Fivetran, and Databricks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
