In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead the development of strategic data projects by directing technical decision-making and implementation.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data pipelines including architecture, design, deployment, and optimization.
• Resolve technical challenges independently, ensuring scalable and secure solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements that meet business goals.
• Conduct code reviews, promote best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data.
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Automate data processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure data integrity through validation, monitoring, and compliance processes.
• Implement data solutions compliant with financial industry regulations.
• Promote modern data engineering practices and tools within projects.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies to propose system improvements.
• Maintain clear documentation for data architectures and workflows.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years experience in data engineering, modeling, and cloud technologies.
• Experience as a lead developer delivering complex data solutions.
• Expertise in Azure data technologies, including Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python for data processing, and Power BI for visualization.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
