DATA ANALYST

The Florida Digital Service is part of the Florida Department of Management Services, tasked with proposing innovative digital solutions to transform state government technology and information services. The team is dedicated to advancing cloud-first policies and ensuring robust enterprise cybersecurity. The role of Data Analyst is crucial to supporting these core objectives, enhancing data sharing across the state.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for state data initiatives including the Enterprise Data Catalog.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance software solutions for data management, ETL processes, and APIs.
• Create programs, queries, and reports to analyze data and provide insights.
• Build and modify interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Collaborate on the design of scalable systems and participate in design reviews.

This role requires you to have:

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Python, R, SQL, and Java.
• Experience with .NET technology for web services.
• Familiarity with Git or similar source control systems.
• Experience with cloud services.
• Strong understanding of data management practices and performance optimization.

You would benefit from having:

• Experience with database design software.
• Familiarity with Mulesoft.
• Experience with Snowflake and AWS.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design interfaces.
