The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking a talented Data Base Analyst to support their Office of Agriculture Technology Services. This role involves working with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database environments, contributing to the maintenance and development of crucial database infrastructure. The team aims to maintain data integrity and availability while achieving best practices in database security.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining database instances.
  • Perform query analysis, performance monitoring, and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Maintain database access layers and oversee backups, replication, and reporting.
  • Support database software installation, testing, and performance monitoring.
  • Run diagnostic tools to identify and rectify performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure high availability and optimal performance in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
  • Participate in on-call support for 24/7 database availability.
