In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Leverage the data platform to analyze and extract key insights
• Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to develop investment and distribution solutions
• Enhance proficiency through training with the data science platform
• Contribute to the strategic vision for ML/AI at FS Investments
• Research and apply relevant ML and statistical methodologies
• Improve existing codebases, pipelines, and models
• Document code and processes for knowledge sharing and reproducibility
• Stay updated with data science advancements and share findings with the team
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analytics professionals to meet project requirements and bring prototypes to production

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in math, physics, logic, philosophy, or a related discipline with 2-4 years of experience in data science
• Basic understanding of data cleaning, feature engineering, model development, and evaluation
• Familiarity with ML frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Numpy, and Pandas
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
