In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design and maintain robust data pipelines for processing healthcare data using PySpark and cloud databases.
- Collaborate with data teams to meet both business and technical requirements.
- Optimize data storage and analytics using AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Use Airflow for workflow management and Kubernetes for application orchestration.
- Implement processes for data ingestion, transformation, and validation to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor and resolve data pipeline issues to maintain optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in the healthcare sector.
- Continuously advance the data infrastructure through new technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align data efforts with organizational goals.
- Maintain SOC 2 compliance and adhere to company security policies.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Apache Spark.
- Proficiency in cloud databases and PySpark.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Expertise in Airflow and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, and data modeling.
