In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and maintain robust data pipelines for processing healthcare data using PySpark and cloud databases.
• Collaborate with data teams to meet both business and technical requirements.
• Optimize data storage and analytics using AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Use Airflow for workflow management and Kubernetes for application orchestration.
• Implement processes for data ingestion, transformation, and validation to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor and resolve data pipeline issues to maintain optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in the healthcare sector.
• Continuously advance the data infrastructure through new technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of learning and collaboration.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align data efforts with organizational goals.
• Maintain SOC 2 compliance and adhere to company security policies.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in cloud databases and PySpark.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Expertise in Airflow and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, and data modeling.
