In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise on healthcare data types including medical claims, pharmacy claims, and EMR/EHR.
  • Ensure high-quality dimensional model design and data mapping.
  • Mentor team members by sharing data content and industry knowledge.
  • Provide strategic guidance on MDM best practices.
  • Perform data profiling, integration, and validation using SQL.
  • Map de-identified healthcare data to proprietary structures.
  • Collaborate on developing QA test plans for data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in ETL processes.
  • Enforce standards in data warehouse nomenclature, storage, and design.

This role requires you to have:

  • 7+ years with EHR, medical claims, pharmacy data.
  • 10+ years in data warehousing.
  • 10+ years hands-on SQL experience.
  • 7+ years in data modeling or RDBMS table building.
  • 5+ years mapping source data to target tables.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience with lab data, medical device, and genomic data.
  • Understanding of healthcare IT standards like ANSI 837/835, NCPDP D.0, HL7.
  • Knowledge of Hive, Spark SQL, Python, and Version Control.
