Hektoen Institute, LLC is engaged in the MACS/WIHS Combined Cohort Study, focusing on individuals living with HIV. This role involves designing databases and ensuring data quality for local and multi-site projects. The team aims to optimize scientific productivity through meticulous data management.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop efficient project plans and select research instruments for data collection.
• Participate in data editing, cleaning, coding, and documentation processes.
• Create and curate datasets for analysis, merging data across projects.
• Prepare data visualizations and assist in manuscript preparation.
• Organize data files systematically for cross-disciplinary collaborations.
• Develop queryable databases linked by Study/Site/Project ID.
• Communicate progress and resolve issues effectively.
• Share quality improvement ideas with the study team.

• Bachelor’s degree in data science or related field.
• Experience with HIV research and CRC certification.
• Proficiency in statistical software like SAS, R, or SPSS.
• Skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Experience with MACS, WIHS, or MWCCS data.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
