Data Analyst (Informatics)

Heluna Health seeks a skilled Data Analyst (Informatics) to join their ICT Unit, focusing on creating innovative solutions that enhance data interoperability and migration within public health systems. The role supports the enhancement of COVID-19 surveillance by collaborating with county and local partners to improve data processes.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and automate data management and quality assurance workflows.
• Collaborate with COVID-19 response teams to enhance data storage, analysis, and reporting systems.
• Develop procedures ensuring data integrity, security, and confidentiality.
• Lead development efforts for datasets, visualizations, dashboards, and reporting applications.
• Create epidemiologic analysis reports and visual materials for policy influence.
• Present findings at meetings and scientific conferences.
• Participate in calls with stakeholders including CDPH, LHJs, CDC, and academic partners.
• Collaborate effectively with team members.
• Perform additional duties as directed by leadership.

This role requires you to have:

• Effective communication in English
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Programming skills (R, SQL, Python or similar)
• Experience in designing data workflows and ETL processes
• Knowledge of health information interoperability standards
• Understanding of epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health principles
