Hendall Inc. seeks a skilled Data Analyst to bring strong mathematical and analytical skills to a critical project for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This hybrid role based in Rockville, MD involves processing and analyzing large datasets, ensuring high data quality and report accuracy. The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with the project team to enhance data processing efficiency and accuracy.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Receive and prepare data for processing in electronic formats.
- Develop specifications and code for new data elements.
- Produce error-free reports monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Create and implement quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and submit status reports on data submissions.
- Use SAS to conduct data quality checks and generate analytic documentation.
- Generate tabulations and conduct ad hoc data queries.
- Revise operations for new data elements and quality control measures.
- Produce data visualizations, including dashboards in Tableau.
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to solve problems.
- Continuously improve workflows and processes.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
- 5 years of experience with large datasets.
- Knowledge of statistical approaches, including regression and multivariate analyses.
- Proficiency in SAS and maintaining relational databases with SQL.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SPSS, Stata, Python, or R.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience analyzing substance use and mental health data.
- Experience with machine learning, deep learning, and NLP.
- Knowledge of data deidentification and health information protection best practices.
- Advanced SAS Programming Certification.
- Experience with Tableau and SSRS.
