Heritage Construction + Materials, a division of The Heritage Group, offers cutting-edge road construction and materials services across the Midwest. As part of their mission, they are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to spearhead strategic data initiatives, focusing on developing data pipelines and championing data governance within their operations.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines within cloud platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
• Monitor and optimize Databricks cluster performance to ensure cost efficiency.
• Implement Delta Lake for robust data storage solutions to enhance data reliability and performance.
• Automate data workflows using CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps.
• Integrate Databricks with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory and ADLS.
• Create and manage monitoring solutions using Databricks, Azure Log Analytics, or custom dashboards.
• Support data governance using Databricks Unity Catalog.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Expertise in Python/PySpark, SQL, or Scala.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake.
