High Technology Foundation is expanding its team with the addition of a Data Engineer. This role focuses on utilizing datasets in the renewables, climate, and weather sectors to generate insights. The new team member will be pivotal in developing analytical solutions and tools that drive data analysis and visualization.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Apply analytical problem-solving methods to various projects
- Design, develop, and prototype tools and applications for data analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed analytical solutions into workflows
- Conduct analyses and document findings using applicable guidelines
- Create data-driven models to inform decision-making
- Identify, analyze, and interpret data patterns
- Produce comprehensive reports from analytical findings
- Perform additional duties as needed to support business requirements

This role requires you to have:
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and R
- Experience with data analytics on data warehouse platforms like Oracle, SQL, Google Cloud, or AWS
- Familiarity with cloud-based DevOps
- Ability to work with container-based applications such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Experience with Git and GitHub for version control
You would benefit from having:
- Basic knowledge of meteorology, physics, and renewable energy sources
- Familiarity with remote sensing
- Comfort working independently and with teams
